Dubbilex is a genomorph created by Project Cadmus. He is a G-Goblin, bred to possess telekinetic powers, but he also possesses psychic/telepathic powers that he has kept hidden from Cadmus officials.[2] He appears to have some level of seniority in Cadmus, freely suggesting to Mark Desmond that Guardian should leave his G-Gnome behind while investigating reports of intruders, although Desmond overruled him.[3]
Dubbilex felt that Superboy was the hope for the genomorphs. As a genomorph hero, he could "blaze a trail" for all genomorphs to be free.[4] He started a fire in Cadmus' ground-level facility, then lured Robin, Aqualad and Kid Flash into the underground labs by allowing Aqualad to see him entering an express elevator.[3][4] After they were captured, he telepathically woke them up so that they could converse with Superboy, then telepathically guided Superboy when the four of them were trying to escape. He finally revealed the part he'd played by stepping in to prevent the young heroes' capture by Guardian, the G-Gnomes and the other genomorphs at Cadmus.
He was seen later with Doctor Spence, working for Guardian's "kinder, gentler Cadmus".[4]
