Black Manta is an enemy of Aquaman and an agent of the Light. He is Aqualad's father, though Kaldur isn't aware of this.

He and his men attempted to steal a large starfish creature frozen in ice from the Science Center in Atlantis. During the assualt, he encountered Aqualad and Garth. The three began to fight, and Manta became increasingly agitated that he was unable to defeat either of them. He resorted to destroying the creature with a small missile, saying "if I can't have it, no one can!" He is later revealed to be in league with The Light when he reports the failure of his mission, but he claims he has put a backup plan into effect.

Aqualad

He seemed to extremly dissapointed that Aqualad serves Aquaman willingly, going as far as calling it a waste. He also seemed to aware that he is also his son, but has yet to say anything about it.
