Captain Marvel is a powerful member of the Justice League. He has the power to transform himself from a ten year old boy to a super powered warrior by saying the magical word "Shazam!"
Personality
Despite having the appearance of a fully grown man, Captain Marvel is secretly ten year old Billy Batson. Due to this Captain Marvel can act childish at times and enjoys hanging out with the Young Justice team as they are technically older than him.
Characteristics
Captain Marvel takes the appearance of a young black haired Caucasian male. His costume is mostly red with gold lining the areas around his ankles wrists and belt.
History
Growing up as an orphaned young boy in Fawcett City a stranger once asked Billy Batson to follow him. The man lead Billy into the old Fawcett City subway system where he put Billy on one of the trains. The train took Billy to an ancient cave which was home to the wizard Shazam. The wizard then told Billy that he had chosen him as his champion and bestowed upon him the power of six different legends and Billy became Captain Marvel![citation needed]
Today Captain Marvel fights crime alongside the Justice League of America and frequently hangs around the Young Justice team. He is first seen near the end of the episode "Fireworks, Part 2" where he and the other league members arrive at the ruins of Project Cadmus. He is later seen in Mount Justice watching Batman debrief the Young Justice team.

When young Billy says the word Shazam he is immediately struck by lightning,[citation needed] granting him the following powers:
- Solomon: the wisdom of Solomon;[citation needed]

- Zeus: power of Zeus;[citation needed]
- Achilles: the courage or invulnerability of the Greek hero;[citation needed] and
